The #ebookSOS campaign has been short-listed for an Open Publishing Award!

Open Publishing Awards celebrates individuals and communities developing open creative, technological, scholarly, artistic, and civic publishing projects.

As we witness a rise in the creation of content, software, systems, and infrastructure that help share knowledge globally without barriers, the Open Publishing Awards seek to recognize the contributions of individuals and organizations that advance open in publishing.

A moment for reflection and chance for celebration, the Open Publishing Awards bring together people, projects, and organizations from around the world to shine a light on one another.

This is a lovely bit of recognition for the campaign – and the issues we’ve been championing/pushing back against.

As part of the nomination, we have also been asked to present at the 2021 Opening Publishing Fest (8-19 November) – so look out for details of that nearer the time! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to raise the profile of our campaign on the global stage. Access to education materials is of international concern.
